Our federation provides the space and opportunities to search for "the SAMURAI spirit" by using Japanese swords.
You will be able to discover the beauty of the Japanese tradition in the way one moves and learns.
The SAMURAI spirit values the five Confucian virtues. One of them is "仁" meaning universal benevolence toward others which leads to hope for peace.
We are open to people from all countries in order to spread that virtue all over the world.
We, DAINIPPON YUSHIN-RYU BUDO Federation provide training to help the SAMURAI spirit from Japan to spread and reach people of any gender or race in order to contribute to the peace of humankind.
Greeting
The Japanese sword tradition that has been passed down for over 1,600 years.
The unique spirit has been developed with the long-lasting tradition.
At YUSHIN-RYU, we offer opportunities for training of swordsmanship by use of swords as a tool to nurture people instead of a lethal arm.I was looking for a training school that teaches the real thing to me as a swordfight arranger and became a member of YUSHIN-RYU based on the conviction that they are authentic.
In martial arts, the quest to evolve never ends and I will never be completely trained. However, I have been the Osaka Branch leader to the present day.
since the founding in 2005 under the order of the head of YUSHIN-RYU, "Seto Tenyu Hirotoshi".Anyone of any gender who is 6 or older can be trained at the permanent DOJO (gym) that we run.
Our school also has a women's only class of women's IAIDO KATA (form and movement).
The class is designed to teach women graceful movements and manners that incorporate the strong and the gentle.We take pride in being one of the best schools that run the DOJO with intent to pursue the essential meanings of the traditional Japanese SAMURAI spirit.
We help people strive for good moral personalities while devoting themselves to practice bravely and wholeheartedly.I look forward to your participation.

About Chief Instructor / SENSEI
"Kohzaburo Tanaka", Osaka Branch Leader of YUSHIN-KAN
The 7th DAN of RENSHI (Senior Teacher) in YUSHIN-RYU SwordsmanshipDuring childhood, he started learning the art of spearmanship from his father, and then took lessons in JUDO throughout his schol years from elementary school to university.
Since then, he is still doing JUDO as an instructor, which has become a lifelong learning process.
In the meantime, he trained in KARATE, IAI-BATTOU-DO, KENDO, KYUDO, AIKIDO, TAIDO and horse riding.In order to use his experiences and abilities as a professional, he got into the show business.
He was a major player in action and made his debut as the stunt performer for the "Inazuman" in the "Kamen Rider" series.
After that, he was the stunt performer for the "Kiranger" in the "Himitsu Sentai Goranger (Gorenger)", which is the first show in the long-running metasiries.He established the DAINIPPON YUSHIN-RYU BUDO Federation and serves as the Osaka Branch leader of YUSHIN-RYU to offer opportunities of training in the SAMURAI spirit.

*You can become a member in the practical swordman technique or TAMESHIGIRI (test cutting) only, even if you are a member of another IAIDO school.

Notes
In addition to the fees above, costs are required for outfit such as a uniform, a HAKAMA or a IAIDO practice sword.

Fee
Trial without TAMESHIGIRI (Test Cutting)

- JPY 8,000 with tax / person, including costs of a rental uniform, etc.

- Approx. 90 minutes including guidance for manners, movement skills and the use of a real sword.
Trial with TAMESHIGIRI (Test Cutting)
- Fee
- JPY 10,000 with tax / person including costs of 2 straw posts for test cutting and rental outfit. (uniform, IAIDO sword and real sword)
- Duration
- Approx. 90 minutes including guidance for manners, movement skills and the use of a real sword.
Outfit
For a trial, please wear a T-shirt (a substitute for an underwear KIMONO - JUBAN). If you are a woman, please wear leggings as well.
No socks are worn in the DOJO. Please take off your socks or wear Japanese TABI socks.
To Stay Safe
Please follow instructions from instructors. IAIDO involves handling real swords.
No walking off the designated spot unless an instructor gives instruction.
